Indigenous Community Bike Race

On October 16th indigenous communities will come together for a fun bike event at the Squirrel Hills recreation area in Minnedosa Manitoba.

What: A mountain bike race for Indigenous communities.

  • The race will be held for schools and other community groups.
  • Participants under age 18 will be placed into age categories.
  • Participants can either sign up to do the race solo or in a team of two.
    • If signed up as a team the two participants will take turns doing a race lap to see how many laps in total can be completed. The team with the most is the winner!
  • Participants who are teachers or work within the communities will be in a category of their own.
  • Bike rentals for the day will be available but limited so register and book the bikes early.
  • There will be food and prizing.
  • Registration cost per participant is $25
  • Bike rental for the day is $45

Where: Squirrel Hills in Minnedosa Manitoba

When: October 16th from about 11am to 3pm.

  • The first age category of racers will start at 11am.
  • All participants/racers must sign in at least 30 minutes before their race.
*We encourage everyone to come early so the kids can pre-ride the course.

Why: Mountain biking on good trails is one of the most amazing ways to spend time outside. Not only does it connect you with the land but it's a way for people to come together and celebrate the outdoors.
